After today’s dramatic escalation between Iran and Israel, the United States must take a firm stance: we will not be dragged into yet another Middle East war. This is not our fight. Both countries are capable of defending their own interests, and decades of American intervention in the region have shown one thing clearly — our involvement only fuels more chaos, loss, and resentment. We’ve spent trillions, lost thousands of American lives, and gotten nothing in return but new enemies and endless instability.
Getting involved now would guarantee a wider war. Iran has already threatened U.S. bases and regional assets — the moment we strike, we become a full combatant, not a peacekeeper. That means more troops, more airstrikes, more money, and no clear endgame. Meanwhile, Americans back home are struggling with inflation, fractured infrastructure, and a political system hanging by a thread. Why should we take on the burden of another war when our own house isn’t even in order?
The U.S. should remain committed to protecting its own people and supporting diplomacy where possible — but not one American life should be risked for this. Let Israel and Iran settle their own score. We are not the world’s babysitter or its battlefield cleanup crew. We’ve done more than our share, and it’s time to walk away before history repeats itself — again.
