What’s next for Washington Square mall?

Eastsiders are invited to a community meeting to learn more about a vision plan for Washington Square Mall.

City-County Councilor Michael-Paul Hart will host a meeting on the plan 6-7 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Warren Township School Administration building, 975 N. Post Road. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

In a Facebook post, the Republican called the vision plan a “roadmap for the future of the Far Eastside.” The plan includes ideas on dining, family recreation, local businesses, housing and community spaces.

In February, Hart launched a pre-development site study. The mall is not currently for sale and is still open. The majority of tenants are local businesses.
