IndyGo offers park-and-ride service to Indiana State Fair

There is a new way for people to get to the Indiana State Fair.

IndyGo, Lawrence and Ivy Tech Community College have partnered to offer a park-and-ride service from the Purple Line to the fairgrounds.

Riders can park for free at the lot on Wheeler Road next to the Purple Line Fort Harrison Station. The station is south of Ivy Tech’s Lawrence campus, 9301 E. 59th St.

The Purple Line will take riders to the main gate of the Indiana State Fair. The bus costs $2.75 per ride. Purple Line buses arrive at each station approximately every 15 minutes. The Indiana State Fair closes at 10 p.m. The last departure from the fairgrounds is 9:45 p.m.

Here’s when the Purple Line operates:

🚌 Monday-Friday, 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.

🚌 Saturday, 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.

🚌 Sunday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Indiana State Fair will be Aug. 7- Aug. 23. More information about the park-and-ride service can be found on the IndyGo website
