Easter scavenger hunt planned at Sarah T. Bolton park

The Hornet Park Community Center is hosting the Easter Bunny Trail Hop at Sarah T. Bolton Park trail head at 17th Street on Sunday, April 13 from 2-4 p.m., where residents can “meet the Easter Bunny and other woodland friends.” It costs $5 to participate in the easter-themed scavenger hunt, and those who complete the hunt will receive a treat bag and a chance to win a prize. Pre-registration can be completed here.

This event replaces the annual Easter Bunny Breakfast, and is now sponsored by the Beech Grove Lions Club.

The scavenger hunt was originally scheduled at another location, but moved to Sarah T. Bolton Park due to high demand, according to the city website.

There are several other Easter or Spring-themed events scheduled for the coming weeks. Hornet Park Elementary is hosting a Spring Carnival on April 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. Beech Grove Girls Softball Affiliation is also hosting a free, Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12 around 8 p.m. behind Beech Grove Middle School. Next Stop Beech Grove is also hosting Easter Express, a free event for kids, on Saturday, April 12 from noon to 1 p.m. on Main Street.

Several additional community events are scheduled for next month, including the annual “Going Green in the Grove” event celebrating Arbor Day on April 26 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hornet Park Community Center. The Beech Grove Parks Foundation is also hosting The Mayor’s Lunch for the The Parks on April 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 524 Event Center. Seats cost $40, and there are various opportunities to sponsor the event. Those interested should rsvp to fr**********************@***il.com by April 2.
