Some songs celebrate the beauty within each person.
Indianapolis Women’s Chorus will be singing such music at its annual fall concert Nov. 22-23 at the Warren Performing Arts Center.

The concert will encourage everyone to embrace their own beauty and honor every person’s unique expressions, beyond growing older or personal struggles.
Indianapolis Women’s Chorus was founded in 1994. Today, the chorus has over 100 members. It is not exclusive to women, there are also members who identify as a nonbinary, gender nonconforming and transgender.
Some of the featured songs in the program include, “Kaleidoscope Heart” by Sara Bareilles; “The Village” by Wrabel; “My Body Tells a Story” by Ash; “We are Timeless” by Moira Smiley; and “Does the World Say?” by Kyle Pederson.
Through the lyrics, the choir will explore many topics from a trans teen’s struggle with self love to finding a way to support your community.
Both performances will feature an ASL interpreter. Guests can purchase advance tickets for $30; it’s $35 at the door.
Children 12 and under are free. Student tickets will be available for $15. There is also an option for pay-what-you-can for $5-$20.
